The El Salvador Aerospace Institute - ESAI participated in the World Conference on Space for Emerging Countries - GLEC 2022, an event that this time was dedicated to emerging countries.

The El Salvador Aerospace Institute - ESAI, participated in the high-level panel called: Role of Space Agencies in the Space Ecosystem. Event that was developed in an intense day of work from May 16 to 20, 2022 and that was held on the occasion of the Global Aerospace Conference, GLEC 2022 dedicated to emerging countries, whose main protagonist was the International Astronautical Federation (IAF) and the Sideralis Foundation. The event aimed to promote collaboration between emerging countries within a space technology ecosystem. During four days, presentations were made by professionals, round tables, workshops, sessions dedicated to youth, university students, international government entities & personalities; all with the aim of publicizing the most recent achievements of space activity and its socioeconomic impact on the societies of the participating countries, with an emphasis on the economies of emerging countries.

The international event was attended by ESAI through our President, Executive Director and Founding Member of ESAI, Dr. Luis Alfaro. The compatriot is a prominent Salvadoran scientist, who has stood out in the field of new technologies with a focus on various areas, likewise at the international level, he participates in important activities, holds a series of awards granted by governments and renowned world-class institutions. Its objective is to support the development of El Salvador, through the benefits offered by technology.
