ESAI JOIN EFFORTS WITH ISAS
PRESS PUBLISHING ESAI, SAN SALVADOR, EL SALVADOR.
The El Salvador Aerospace Institute (ESAI) joined efforts with the Institute of Space and Astronautical Science (ISAS) which is one of four principal sections within the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA). The honorific invitation from the Japanese Think Tank comes in the moment that ESAI is launching its mission to advance space science — scientific research conducted in outer space lead in El Salvador.
The participation of ESAI in the ISTS Sustainable Space Development Visions 2040 focus on: Government Policies, Sustainability and the Governance role of other third parties related with space. While ESAI in El Salvador is in the process of formulating a long-term strategy, and that includes the creation of a road map for space science and space missions. It has divided its activities into midscale strategic missions, small-scale public missions and a diverse set of small projects.
The collaboration from ISAS to ESAI aims to support a full range of space science activities, including topics such as the structure and origin of the universe; formation of the earth and solar system; utilization of the space environment for microgravity experiments; and space engineering to enable these activities by developing future technologies.
In the middle term ESAI has discussed the establishment of prestigious new fellowship programs, the vision from ESAI is to attract outstanding, highly motivated, young researchers in any of the space science fields covered by exemplary think tanks like ISAS to work in Japan for 3 (extendable to 5) years.
ISAS has a robust research program focused on the history, evolution, and environment of Earth’s Moon, and its future exploration and utilization. The research done by the small bodies community at ISAS has mainly centered around the sample return missions.
